Herschend Family Entertainment’s Story Land in Glen, NH seeks a Ride Maintenance Technician to modify, repair, and refurbish amusement ride equipment across designated attractions. This full-time role focuses on safe, continuous operation and top-notch guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, 1–2 years in maintenance, and familiarity with ride mechanics, electrical and hydraulic systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent; equivalent work experience will be considered.
• 1-2 years in maintenance or mechanics is highly desired.
• Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and small engines.
• Able to tear down and reassemble machines; read maintenance manuals and blueprints.
• Familiarity with state/local codes for theme park attractions.
• Must provide own basic tools as listed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pre-opening inspections of attractions and property.
• Ability to diagnose and correct mechanical issues.
• Respond to trouble calls with urgency.
• Maintain the property in a clean, presentable, and safe manner.
• Perform repairs and service as per manufacturers’ requirements and specifications.
• Perform preventative maintenance (painting, battery replacement, smoke detector checks, HVAC cleaning, door/lock repair, plumbing, drywall, carpentry, electrical repairs).
• Schedule repair, maintenance, and installation of machines and equipment to ensure continuous operations.
• Utilize proper PPE as required.
• Maintain storage areas, shops, and mechanical areas clean and organized.
• Complete repair work orders promptly.
• Keep maintenance and park leaders informed of corrective issues.
• All other duties assigned by leadership.
