Job summary

Story Inc. is seeking a Video Editor to shape footage into compelling films for client work in the SF Bay Area. You’ll edit documentary-style pieces, brand spots, and commercials, owning the edit from assembly through finishing with strong story, pacing, and rhythm.

Collaborate with directors, producers, and clients; present work, incorporate notes, and deliver polished edits with color and sound finishing. A strong portfolio and DaVinci Resolve mastery are required.

Qualifications

• Strong portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of editing work.
• Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve.
• Ability to complete a paid test edit.
• Based in the SF Bay Area or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Edit documentary, brand, narrative, and commercial formats.
• Collaborate with directors and producers from first assembly to final delivery.
• Incorporate feedback and maintain quality under deadlines.
• Present work to clients and translate notes into editorial decisions.
• Own finishing through color and sound, collaborating with VFX as needed.
• Maintain organized project files, media, and delivery assets.
