Bonneville International Corporation's KSL-TV in Salt Lake City seeks a talented Video Editor & Photographer to craft engaging, character-driven stories for daily news and in-depth projects. This onsite role demands strong storytelling, fast editing, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

You will operate non-linear editing systems, handle microwave and satellite feeds, shoot compelling footage, and collaborate with producers to deliver accurate, high-quality video.

Formación

• Two years of journalism broadcast experience or equivalent.
• Experience as video editor or photographer preferred.
• Experience with microwave and satellite operations preferred.
• Degree in journalism or communications, or equivalent.
• Experience with non-linear editing equipment required, preferably Adobe Premiere.
• Prefer news photography or equivalent experience, including basic field lighting and audio skills.
• Audition link or file is required, demonstrating accuracy, fairness and video editing news style.
• Ability to lift and carry photography equipment, at times in harsh conditions.
• Self-starter with accurate journalistic editing decisions and teamwork.
• Strong computer skills and ability to handle various video sources.

Responsabilidades

• Edit video material per needs of KSL using non-linear equipment.
• Edit video material to meet deadlines with professionalism and speed.
• Newsgathering; capture and cover daily news events as assigned.
• Operate and maintain photographer and microwave equipment.
• Perform routine editing duties (line editing, Feedroom, training).
• Proficiently use editing software to trim, color correct, add graphics and audio.
• At events, gather information, shoot video, and coordinate with producers.
• Maintain communication with the station about story/status changes.
• Willing to perform on-call and weekend duties on a rotating basis.
• Ensure accuracy and quality of all final video content.
