Deseret Digital Media is seeking a Video Editor & Photographer for KSL-TV in Salt Lake City. The role focuses on creating engaging, character-driven stories for in-depth projects and daily news with strong storytelling and deadline-driven editing.

The position requires hands-on experience with non-linear editing (preferably Adobe Premiere), news photography skills, and the ability to work onsite. You will join a dynamic team producing trusted journalism across digital and broadcast platforms.

Qualifikationen

• Two years journalism/broadcast experience or equivalent.
• Experience as video editor or photographer preferred.
• Experience with non-linear editing equipment required, preferably Adobe Premiere.
• Prefer news photography or related experience with basic field lighting and audio skills.
• Valid driver's license required.

Aufgaben

• Edit video material per needs of KSL using non-linear editing equipment.
• Edit video to meet deadlines while maintaining professional editing skills.
• Newsgathering; capture and cover daily news events as assigned.
• Operate and maintain photographer and microwave equipment for live shots and feeds.
• Perform routine editing duties (line editing, Feedroom, training).
• Use professional editing software to trim, color correct, adjust audio, graphics and effects.
• At events, gather information, shoot video, and coordinate with producers/editors.
• Maintain communication with the station about story/status changes.
• Willing and able to work on-call and weekends on a rotating basis.
• Ensure the accuracy and quality of all final video content.
