Lorain County Commissioners is seeking a qualified professional to assist the Storm Water Management District within the Community Development Department. You will help plan and manage stormwater initiatives, coordinate district expenses, and liaise on behalf of the District to ensure compliance with federal and county regulations.
The role requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and several years of environmental planning experience, plus possession of a valid Ohio driver’s license.
The Stormwater Management District partners with the Lorain County Commissioners, Lorain County Engineer, Lorain County Prosecutor's office, 18 Townships, the Village of South Amherst, City of Oberlin, Village of Kipton, and Village of Rochester in 2025 to respond to local needs and federal regulations to develop and manage a cost-effective program to more effectively manage stormwater drainage and flooding issues throughout the County.
Under general direction, within the Community Development Department, assists the Community Development Director with all matters relating to Storm Water Management District and planning; maintains related to District expenses; serves as liaison on behalf of District; etc.
