Job summary

The City of Lancaster, OH seeks a Stormwater Engineer I to perform professional civil engineering work for the City stormwater utility, including review of capital projects, subdivisions, and commercial developments for compliance with stormwater regulations and the NPDES permit, under the Stormwater Manager.

Responsibilities include project management, plan reviews, data collection, public information, and coordination with GIS and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Ohio E.I. certification preferred with goal of Ohio P.E.
• Experience and knowledge related to stormwater regulations and NPDES is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil engineering design and writing in stormwater utility areas.
• Review subdivision plats and plans for compliance with stormwater regulations.
• Coordinate inspections for stormwater facilities and public improvements.
• Prepare cost estimates and engineering reports under supervision of a Professional Engineer.
• Provide public information on permits and City records.
• Assist in updating impervious area changes and NPDES MS4 requirements.
