Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for independently managing construction and municipal stormwater compliance projects, including project planning, field activities, regulatory review, reporting, and documentation. Applies knowledge of local ordinances and applicable state and federal regulations to support Construction Stormwater General Permit (GSGP) and Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) compliance.

Coordinates with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal staff while managing project schedules, deliverables, and deadlines. The position requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to take ownership of projects and work independently.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support and manage Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit compliance activities from initiation through completion.
  • Prepare, review and maintain regulatory reports, inspection records, permit documentation, and project files.
  • Conduct compliance inspections for active construction sites and/or facility sites.
  • Assist with the review of stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPP).
  • Assist in the research, development and presentation of water quality educational materials and programs.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Environmental Affairs, Natural Resource Protection, Regional Planning, Landscape Design, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or other related technical studies.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public are necessary.
  • A strong understanding of NPDES Clean Water Rules and Regulations.
