Job summary

Contech Engineered Solutions is seeking a Product Development Engineer to drive design from concept to production and develop CAD models, drawings, and BOMs for new stormwater products.

You will prototype, test, and optimize designs, perform calculations, and contribute to manufacturability and cost estimates while staying current with industry trends. Occasional travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree.
• Hands-on, creative mindset with strong project management and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks (or similar), plus Microsoft Office tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to engineering design projects from ideation to production.
• Develop 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and cost estimates.
• Feasibility assessments, prototyping, testing, and DFM for NPD.
• Collaborate across teams to optimize product performance and profitability.
• Build and test prototypes and perform technical calculations.
• Stay informed on industry trends in stormwater and adjacent markets.
• Support IP management and patent research.
• Travel up to 10% for testing, field visits, or vendor collaboration.
