Job summary

City of Tualatin is seeking an Equipment Operator for our Stormwater & Wastewater team. The role involves outdoor work on maintenance, operation, and repair of the City’s sewer and stormwater systems, with opportunities to read blueprints and supervise contractors.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in general maintenance and construction including heavy equipment operation.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, as‑builts/blueprints, maintenance instructions.
• CDL driving experience and knowledge of CDL pre-trip inspections.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of medium and heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Lead crew tasks and supervise contracted workers on specific assignments.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on sanitary sewer and stormwater systems.
