Job summary

Dragonfly Pond Works in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Stormwater Repair Technician - Laborer to join our outdoor maintenance team. This full-time role focuses on pond and stormwater device upkeep, erosion repair, and habitat improvements while working in varying weather.

You will operate small equipment, lift up to 80 pounds, lead safety practices, and collaborate with a motivated crew dedicated to environmental stewardship and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Experience in pond/lake maintenance, landscaping, erosion control, or stormwater maintenance.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
• Comfortable working around water, slopes, and environmental risks (bees, poison ivy, etc.).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate team members.
• Commitment to safety practices with chemicals and equipment.
• Ability to follow company policies and values.
• Team-oriented and aligned with Dragonfly's values: Quality Focus, Takes Ownership, and Growth Oriented.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain equipment safely (mini-excavators, skid steers, slope mowers, front-end loader, backhoes, etc.)
• Perform manual labor tasks and operate hand tools
• Maintain and repair ponds, lakes, and stormwater control measures (grading, erosion repair, planting, mowing, invasive species removal)
• Lead by example, ensuring a safe and productive work environment
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all safety guidelines
• Complete repairs and maintenance on ponds, lakes, and other stormwater control measures (grading, erosion repairs, site stabilization)

Pay: $18- $24 an hour- Full-time
