Job summary

Dragonfly Pond Works in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Stormwater Repair Technician- Laborer for year-round, full-time outdoor work. You will operate and maintain heavy equipment and perform pond and stormwater repairs to protect waterways.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and hands-on maintenance of ponds, lakes, and stormwater devices, with opportunities for growth in an environmental services company.

• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain equipment safely (mini-excavators, skid steers, slope mowers, front-end loader, backhoes).
• Perform manual labor tasks and use hand tools.
• Maintain and repair ponds, lakes, and stormwater control measures (grading, erosion repair, planting, mowing, invasive species removal).
• Lead by example to ensure safety and productivity.
• Attend safety meetings and follow guidelines.
• Complete repairs and maintenance on ponds, lakes, and stormwater systems (turf, mowing, planting, invasive species treatment/removal, excavation, grading, erosion repairs, tree removal, site stabilization).

Pay: $18- $24 an hour- Full-time

Requirements

• Experience in pond/lake maintenance, landscaping, erosion control, or stormwater maintenance
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and work in various weather conditions
• Comfortable working around water, slopes, and environmental risks (bees, poison ivy, etc.)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate team members
• Commitment to safety practices with chemicals and equipment
• Ability to follow company policies and values

Key Responsibilities:
