Job summary

Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District seeks a Water Quality and Environmental Compliance Specialist to lead regulatory compliance for stormwater and related programs in Riverside. The role emphasizes NPDES permit oversight, data analysis, and coordination with Copermittees and agencies.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience with environmental reporting, and a background in planning or environmental science.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in planning, biology, environmental sciences, environmental engineering, or closely related field.
Proof of degree required at time of application.
Knowledge of CEQA, NEPA, Clean Water Act and related environmental laws.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement regulatory compliance strategies for stormwater management.
Collect and analyze environmental data to assess aquatic health.
Prepare regulatory compliance reports for agencies.
Manage consultant contracts and review work products.
Coordinate with Copermittees and regulatory agencies.
Plan and coordinate public education on water quality protection.
Identify impacts of environmental regulations on municipal operations.
