Job summary

The City of Winter Park is seeking a Design Engineering Specialist to lead stormwater management design, permit reviews, GIS mapping, and construction administration for public works projects. You will perform field measurements, develop construction drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D, run hydraulics calculations, and coordinate with regulatory agencies.

A Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and at least five years' CM/engineering experience, plus Florida Driver’s License and Stormwater Operations

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Minimum five years of Construction Management/Engineering experience.
Florida Driver's License and Stormwater Operations Certification.
Intermediate MOT Certification (Advanced preferred).

Responsibilities

Perform design for Public Works projects including storm sewer, site development, and roadways.
Prepare construction plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D for roads, sidewalks, and utilities.
Perform field measurements and maintain related records and reports.
Review permit applications and coordinate with regulatory agencies.
Perform Construction Administration and oversight for in-house designs.
Coordinate with regulatory agencies on stormwater and civil engineering matters.
Review proposals for private development in Winter Park.
Assist in other civil engineering disciplines as needed.
