Job summary

TYG is seeking an experienced Stormwater Engineer to step into a leadership role, overseeing complex water resources projects and mentoring a high-performing team. You will coordinate stormwater planning, drainage design, flood mitigation and environmental compliance for public and private sector clients.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of stormwater/water resources experience, a PE license, and proven ability to lead projects and develop junior engineers while growing the practice.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in stormwater or water resources engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience leading projects and managing or mentoring engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of complex stormwater and water resources projects from planning through design and implementation.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and technical quality while ensuring client satisfaction.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with clients, agencies, and internal stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership on stormwater management, drainage, watershed, and flood mitigation projects.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers while helping grow and strengthen the team.
• Support business development efforts by maintaining client relationships and identifying new project opportunities.
• Deliver sustainable, innovative engineering solutions across a diverse range of infrastructure projects.

You'll oversee a diverse portfolio of projects spanning stormwater management, watershed planning, drainage design, flood mitigation, and environmental compliance, working closely with both public and private sector clients.

The Ideal Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in stormwater or water resources engineering
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Demonstrated experience leading projects and managing or mentoring engineering teams
• Strong technical background in stormwater management, drainage design, watershed planning, and flood mitigation
• Experience using hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software such as HEC-RAS, SWMM, or similar programs
• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
