Job summary

Town of Leesburg, Virginia is seeking a Stormwater Manager to provide leadership and oversight of the town’s comprehensive stormwater management program within the Department of Public Works. You will supervise staff, manage consultants and contracts, and promote stormwater education and outreach while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.

The role requires extensive civil engineering expertise, project management experience, and an ability to exercise

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science/Management or closely related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Virginia DEQ certifications to include Stormwater Management Combined Administrator
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in storm water management
• Minimum of three (3) years of managerial/supervisory experience
• Valid driver's license with safe driving record

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, management, and oversight of the town’s comprehensive stormwater management program
• Lead staff, consultants, and contracts while coordinating with the Department of Public Works
• Promote stormwater activities through public education, outreach, and enforcement
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations
