Job summary

The City of Mcdonough seeks a Stormwater Manager to lead planning, development, and enforcement of stormwater programs. You will ensure NPDES permit compliance, coordinate CIP projects, supervise staff, and drive public education on BMPs and watershed protection.

Qualifications include a Civil/Environmental degree, 5+ years in stormwater/public works, 2+ years of supervision, and a PE license or CSM preferred, with a valid driver’s license and GIS proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible stormwater management or public works experience.
  • At least two (2) years of supervisory or project management experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Stormwater Manager (CSM) preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and GIS software.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and manages the City’s Stormwater Management Program with regulatory compliance.
  • Oversees inspection, maintenance, and repair of stormwater infrastructure.
  • Manages stormwater capital projects from planning to construction oversight.
  • Supervises stormwater maintenance crews, engineers, technicians, and consultants.
  • Leads public outreach and education on stormwater quality and BMPs.
