Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Stormwater Operations Group Manager to lead stormwater operations within the TPW Department. You will manage a large in-house maintenance team responsible for over 1,000 miles of drains, 40,000 inlets, and 88 miles of channels, while driving data-driven processes and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in project/program management, construction management, engineering, landscape architecture, planning, public administration, business administration, or related field.
  • Five (5) years increasingly responsible administrative experience with a local government entity.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the division at public meetings and engage with other departments and agencies.
  • Oversee data collection, reporting, and data-driven process improvements for Stormwater Operations.
  • Guide budget and resource optimization and advise on efficient spending and funding opportunities.
  • Coordinate emergency response plans and regulatory compliance for stormwater activities.
  • Lead supervision of a large maintenance team, evaluate performance, and set conduct standards.
  • Research and implement innovative Stormwater Operations solutions to improve service and asset life-cycle.
