The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Stormwater Operations Group Manager (Sr. Capital Projects Officer) to lead stormwater operations including facilitating data-driven processes, emergency response, and guiding a large in‑house maintenance team in the Transportation and Public Works (TPW) Department. This position reports to the TPW Assistant Director and is responsible for managing a team of 88 personnel under two direct reports that maintain over 1,000 miles of storm drains, almost 40,000 inlets, 88 miles of channels and numerous other drainage assets to maintain the performance of the system keeping our community safer from flood risk. The Stormwater Operations Group Manager position will work with other key leaders in the City to drive group culture, innovation and continuous improvement, and develop best practices and standards in Stormwater Operations.
Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions.
Light Work – Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly having to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for the Sedentary Work category and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated Light Work.
