Job summary

McKim & Creed, Inc. is seeking a Stormwater Modeler to join our Tampa Civil Engineering team. This role focuses on stormwater modeling and design, supporting FEMA LOMR work and a range of public and private development projects.

The ideal candidate will have a civil/water resources background, experience with HEC-RAS/SWMM/StromWise, and proficiency in ArcGIS and AutoCAD Civil 3D, with strong data analysis and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Water Resources Engineering.
• FL PE or ability to obtain FL PE within 18 months.
• Experience with hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software (HEC-RAS, SWMM, StormWise).
• Experience with FEMA LOMR process; ASFPM certification a plus.
• Proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS; AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred.
• Strong data analysis skills; familiarity with Python/SQL/R a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and design services for land development and capital improvement projects.
• Support development of hydraulic and hydrologic models for FEMA LOMR and other studies.
• Perform stormwater modeling for public and private development projects.
• Collaborate with Project Manager and Operations Manager to manage tasks and deliverables.
• Prepare reports, design drawings, specifications and permit submittals as needed.
• Contribute to team efforts across concurrent projects and ensure on-time completion.
