McKim & Creed is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Water/Wastewater team in Florida. You will provide technical and design support for municipal water infrastructure projects, including design drawings, reports, specifications, and permit submittals.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years of municipal experience, FL PE or reciprocity, and are self-motivated team players capable of working independently on multiple concurrent projects.

• BS in Civil Engineering required; FL PE registration or reciprocity preferred.
• 5–10 years of municipal water/wastewater design experience.
• Technically competent with good teamwork and communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently to complete assignments.
• Knowledge of utility design modeling including stormwater, water, and wastewater.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical and design services for water infrastructure projects (water, wastewater, distribution).
• Conduct preliminary and final engineering evaluations; prepare reports and design drawings.
• Prepare technical specifications and permit submittals for municipal projects.
• Work as part of a project team across multiple concurrent assignments.
• Manage tasks to meet deadlines and budget constraints.

Your Day-day Will Include

• Provides technical and design services in support of water infrastructure projects (i.e. water and wastewater treatment, water distribution and wastewater collection/pumping).
• Responsibilities include: conduct preliminary and final engineering evaluations, prepare various reports, produce design drawings, prepare technical specifications, and prepare permit submittals for municipal engineering projects.
• Must be able to work as part of a project team.
• Responsible for various tasks on several concurrent projects and must be able to follow these tasks through to completion within the allocated period of time and the monetary budget assigned.

What You Need

• BS in Civil Engineering with FL PE registration or the ability to acquire a FL PE quickly via reciprocity.
• 5-10 years of experience in municipal engineering water and wastewater design.
• Technically competent, a team player and good communications ability required.
• Must be self-motivated and work independently to complete work assignments.
• Have proficient knowledge of modeling in utility design including stormwater, water and wastewater and good understanding of current rules and regulations associated with civil design elements.
• Requires a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.
