Job summary

Timmons Group in Raleigh, NC is seeking an experienced Project Engineer II/III to join our Stormwater Management Group. The role focuses on advanced stormwater design, modeling, and permitting support within a dynamic civil engineering team.

The position requires hands-on experience with SCMs, MS4/NPDES processes, and field inspections. A Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil Engineering is expected, with proficiency in Civil 3D and hydraulic modeling tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
• Three+ years of experience in Stormwater civil engineering and related design.
• Familiarity with MS4, NPDES regulatory processes.
• Knowledge of erosion and sediment control principles and state E&S standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering design of stormwater practices and SCMs/BMPs/LID solutions.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses (HEC-HMS/HEC-RAS/PCSWMM).
• Prepare construction documents: plans, specs, cost estimates, bid docs.
• Conduct field observations, inspections, and data collection.
• Support permitting with regulatory agencies and client communication.
