Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC is seeking an Environmental Technician 2 to join our Northern California stormwater team. The role conducts stormwater inspections, sampling, and reporting, and supports QSP delegation tasks across construction sites.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, proficiency in MS Office, valid CA driver’s license, and bilingual English/Spanish preferred. The position involves travel to job sites, field work, and opportunities for annual bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college coursework or degree preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and typing/data entry.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate project needs and updates to clients.
• Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record and the ability to meet company insurance requirements.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Prior SWPPP inspection experience preferred.
• Preferred certifications include: QSP, QSD, QISP.

Responsibilities

• Drive to and from job sites for stormwater inspections; may use company or personal vehicle.
• Prepare inspection and sampling reports; update data quarterly.
• Monitor weather forecasts and plan for rain events; coordinate with contractors.
• Interact with clients and provide QA/QC during inspections.
• Attend trainings to obtain required certifications (QSP/QSD/QISP).
• Represent the company in a professional manner; maintain regular attendance.
