Job summary

Stantec is seeking Environmental Inspectors with Qualified Stormwater Practitioner certifications to join our Environmental groups across California offices, including Stockton. You will provide field and technical support on water and waste management projects, and may work in Central and/or Northern California offices.

You should have stormwater permitting knowledge, field experience, and be willing to travel.

Qualifications

• College degree in earth science, geology, hydrology, environmental science or engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document field data collection activities and support project work including data management, analysis, and report preparation.
• Conduct multi-media sampling (soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, wastewater, NORMs).
• Complete fieldwork documentation of site activities and monitor water quality; discharge water as required.
• Provide scheduling support for upcoming field work and assist risk reviews.
• ,
• Prepare health and safety documents and participate in meetings; adhere to safety procedures.
• Submit daily summary emails and site diagrams to reporting systems.
• Learn and follow standard operating procedures for assigned work.
• Schedule, conduct, and document environmental and stormwater inspections.
• Provide QSP or delegate support to various projects/programs.
