Ottawa County in West Olive, MI seeks an Engineering/Project Manager to oversee drainage infrastructure projects, reviews, and field inspections. The role requires coordinating with engineers, preparing legal agreements, and ensuring compliance with the Drain Code.

The position involves updating standards, responding to inquiries, and managing easement processes, with a Monday–Friday schedule at the Fillmore Complex. Bachelor’s or higher with engineering experience is required.

Formación

• Knowledge of stormwater management rules and standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and maps.
• Familiarity with environmental and safety regulations relevant to drainage.
• Working knowledge of surveying concepts and practices.
• Proficiency in GIS and standard office software.

Responsabilidades

• Administer stormwater management and water quality protection standards.
• Review permit applications, site plans, and drainage documents for compliance.
• Coordinate with consulting engineers for independent reviews.
• Prepare legal agreements to establish or extend drainage districts.
• Review contract terms for compliance with Drain Code and related acts.
• Maintain and update water resources development standards and manuals.
• Respond to inquiries from property owners, developers, and agencies.
• Prepare documents for easement acquisition and modifications.
• Produce reports for environmental quality, safety, and code compliance.
• Act as field engineer inspecting structures and collecting samples.
