Job summary

paysonut seeks a dedicated worker for construction, maintenance, and operation of the City’s storm drainage system. The position requires independence, self-initiation, program knowledge, and the ability to inspect various stages of work and identify illicit stormwater sources.

Candidates should have 5–8 years in environmental permitting or related fields, possess a Utah CDL, and be able to obtain SWPPP certification within a year if not already certified.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental permitting, stormwater drainage and stormwater management, and/or facility construction.
• SWPPP Certification preferred; ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of semi-skilled and unskilled labor in construction, maintenance, and operation of the City's storm drainage system.
• Inspect work in progress and analyze sources of illicit stormwater discharge.
• Work under the direction of the Storm Drain Inspector and Streets/Landfill/Storm Drain Superintendent.
