Job summary

Mead & Hunt, Inc. invites applications for an Engineer in Training to join our water resources team as a Stormwater Engineer in Portland, Oregon.

This full-time role focuses on designing stormwater facilities and related water resources infrastructure. The position requires a civil/environmental engineering degree (ABET-accredited) and at least one year of stormwater experience, with preferred EIT certification and proficiency in hydraulics, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and GIS tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET-accredited college/university.
• At least 1 year of relevant stormwater engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist design of stormwater management facilities and other water resources projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers.
• Perform research, planning, and calculations.
• Support preparation of reports, technical memoranda, cost estimates, specs, design plans, studies and permits.
• Some travel may be required.

Overview

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a full-time position available for an Engineer in Training to join our collaborative and innovative water resources team as a Stormwater Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the design of stormwater management facilities and other water resources (drinking water and/or sewer systems) projects
• Collaborating with project managers and senior engineers
• Research, planning, and calculations
• Supporting preparation of reports, technical memoranda, cost estimates, specifications, design plans, studies, and permits

Some travel will be required

Qualifications

• A bachelor\'s degree (or higher) in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
• At least one year of relevant stormwater engineering experience

Preferred qualifications

• EIT Certification
• Design of stormwater management systems
• Design of drinking water and/or sewer systems
• Preparation of plans, specifications and cost estimates for civil infrastructure projects (emphasis on water resources projects)
• Knowledge of software programs associated with hydraulic and/or hydrologic modeling (such as HydroCAD, PCSWMM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and WWHM)
• Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS software
