Job summary

Mead & Hunt is a Top 100 national engineering/architecture firm expanding its stormwater practice in Florida. We have a full-time senior stormwater project manager/engineer position focused on stormwater design projects.

You will oversee schedules, budgets, client communications, and project deliverables, mentoring staff and ensuring QA/QC. Travel 10–15% is required, with a PE credential and Florida licensure path within six months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental or water resources engineering.
• 12+ years of stormwater experience.
• PE license with ability to obtain in FL within six months.
• Experience leading stormwater design projects.

Mead & Hunt is a Top 100 national engineering/architecture consulting firm with a growing stormwater practice. As a result, we have a full-time position available for a senior stormwater project manager/engineer specializing in stormwater design projects.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing schedules and budgets for projects
• Preparing or directing the preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, permits and designs for projects
• Maintaining client contact
• Preparing scoping documents, pricing, fee estimates and marketing strategies for proposed projects
• Performing QA/QC tasks
• Mentoring less experienced staff
• Attending client meetings
• Visiting project sites to monitor progress and handle any construction administration issues
• Mentoring staff

Travel (10-15%) will be required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil, environmental or water resources engineering from an accredited college or university
• At least twelve (12) years of relevant stormwater experience
• A PE license with the ability to obtain in FL within six (6) months

Desired Qualifications

• Leading the design of stormwater projects
• Project Management (scope, schedule and budget)
• Mentoring and providing technical guidance to staff
• Client management for municipal and county governments
• Relevant software experience (SWMM, StormWise, etc.)
• Business development (proposals, tracking opportunities, etc.)
• Comfort signing and sealing documents
