Job summary

Keystone Consulting Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Stormwater Engineer for our Allentown, PA team. You will develop practical stormwater solutions for land development, municipal, and public improvement projects, advancing plans through permitting and construction.

The role requires 5+ years in civil/stormwater engineering, an ABET-accredited degree, and EIT certification; PE preferred. Expect collaboration with senior engineers and a mix of field and office work, with occasional local travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Five or more years of relevant civil engineering, stormwater, drainage, or water resources experience.
• EIT certification required; PE license preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.
• Experience with stormwater and hydraulic modeling software such as HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, SWMM, or similar programs.
• Working knowledge of Pennsylvania stormwater regulations, NPDES permitting, and municipal approval processes preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Sound judgment, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams to develop stormwater management solutions for land development, municipal, and public improvement projects.
• Prepare Act 167 Stormwater Management Plans, hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, models, and technical reports.
• Develop Post-Construction Stormwater Management (PCSM) plans and supporting documentation for NPDES permit applications.
• Prepare erosion and sediment control plans, narratives, calculations, and permit submissions.
• Perform drainage and floodplain analyses using software such as HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, SWMM, or similar programs.
• Prepare construction plans, technical specifications, cost estimates, and supporting project documentation.
• Coordinate municipal, county, conservation district, and regulatory agency submissions and permit applications.
• Review subdivision, land development, zoning, and stormwater management requirements for project compliance.
• Attend client, municipal, and agency meetings with project managers and senior engineers.
• Coordinate with civil engineers, surveyors, landscape architects, inspectors, and other members of the project team.

We are looking for a Stormwater Engineer to join our Allentown team. In this role, you will contribute to a variety of stormwater management and land development projects, including Act 167 planning, post-construction stormwater management, NPDES permitting, erosion and sediment control, and floodplain analysis.

What You Bring

We are looking for someone who combines solid stormwater design experience with attention to detail, practical problem-solving skills, and a collaborative approach.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program.
• Five or more years of relevant civil engineering, stormwater, drainage, or water resources experience.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.
• Experience with stormwater and hydraulic modeling software such as HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, SWMM, or similar programs.
