Job summary

The City of Greeley is seeking a Stormwater Crew Supervisor I to lead daily stormwater maintenance operations, planning, scheduling, and supervision of field crews. The role ensures safety, regulatory compliance, and effective use of contractors, equipment, and materials.

You will coordinate with engineering, public works, and external partners, provide first-line leadership, and serve during flooding, severe weather, and snow events while maintaining high service levels for residents.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) years of supervisory or lead experience.
• Four (4) years of experience in stormwater, drainage, utility, construction, heavy equipment operation, or related maintenance.
• Current Class A CDL driver’s license with air brake and tanker endorsements or ability to obtain within six months.
• Colorado Collections System Operator Class I Certification or ability to obtain within twelve months.
• Colorado Collections System Operator Class II Certification or ability to obtain within twelve months.
• Flagger certification, and work zone traffic control certification or ability to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, supervise, and evaluate crews for stormwater infrastructure work.
• Develop maintenance schedules and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and other City divisions on projects.
• Supervise staff, conduct performance evaluations, and manage timekeeping.
• Respond to emergencies, support snow operations, and assign resources as needed.
