Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification.
• Valid State of Georgia driver’s license.
• Confined Space Entry, Trenching and Shoring, and Flagging certifications or the ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire.
• CDL Class A license or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire.
• Water Distribution or Collection System Operator certification or the ability to obtain within two (2) years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, assigns and reviews work; trains crew members and enforces safety procedures.
• Participates in installation, repair and maintenance of stormwater infrastructure; operates large equipment and department vehicles.
• Maintains daily activity logs, work orders and reports; conducts safety checks and equipment maintenance.
• Ensures compliance with plans, specs, standards and regulations; coordinates work with other divisions.
• Provides customer service to residents and businesses in Rockdale County.
