Job description

Job Title

Stormwater Compliance Manager (SWPPP)

Company

Majestic Developers, Sugar Land, TX (Onsite)

About the Role

Majestic Developers is seeking a Stormwater Compliance Manager (SWPPP) to oversee stormwater compliance across active construction sites. This role is responsible for the implementation, inspection, and enforcement of SWPPP requirements during construction. The position is field-focused and plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and Environmental Protection Agency. This is not a design role – it is a hands‑on, site‑driven position ensuring that Best Management Practices (BMPs) are properly installed, maintained, and documented.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Implementation: Install and verify BMPs including silt fence, inlet protection, stabilized entrances, and sediment controls. Coordinate with superintendents and site contractors to ensure proper execution.
  • Inspections and Documentation: Perform routine inspections every 7 to 14 days and after rainfall events. Maintain SWPPP documentation, logs, and compliance records. Track deficiencies and corrective actions to resolution.
  • Compliance Enforcement: Identify non‑compliance issues and require immediate corrective action. Hold site teams accountable for maintaining BMPs and site conditions. Escalate unresolved issues to leadership as needed.
  • Coordination: Work with civil engineers when drainage or erosion issues exceed BMP capacity. Update SWPPP documentation as site conditions or phasing change.
  • Project Closeout: Verify final stabilization of disturbed areas. Coordinate Notice of Termination (NOT) upon completion.
Qualifications
  • Experience in construction, civil/site work, or environmental compliance.
  • Strong understanding of erosion and sediment control practices.
  • Ability to operate independently across multiple job sites.
  • Field-oriented mindset with attention to detail and documentation.
  • Preferred: CPESC (Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control) and CESSWI (Certified Erosion, Sediment and Stormwater Inspector).
What We Offer
  • Competitive base salary.
  • Health, medical, dental, and vision insurance (rolling out in Q2).
  • 401(k) program and additional benefits to be introduced.
  • Performance-based bonus structure (in development).
  • Opportunity to work on large-scale commercial and mixed-use developments.
  • Direct exposure to construction operations and leadership.
  • Growth potential within a fast-paced, expanding development platform.
Work Environment

Onsite, field-based role across active construction sites. High visibility with construction and development teams. Fast-paced environment requiring proactive decision-making.

Position Overview

This role operates alongside construction teams and is responsible for ensuring stormwater compliance is maintained across all phases of construction. The position carries authority to identify issues, require corrective action, and maintain consistency across multiple sites.
