Job summary

Carollo Engineers, Inc. seeks a Stormwater Client Service Manager/Project Manager in North Carolina to lead growth in the local stormwater market, oversee planning and design projects, and build a delivery team.

The role requires a BS in Civil/Environmental/Ag engineering, a NC PE (or ability to obtain within 6 months), 10+ years in stormwater/water resources, strong client service and leadership, with proficiency in Hydra CAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, ArcGIS, and Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil, Environmental, or Agricultural Engineering.
• 10+ years in stormwater and water resources projects.
• Professional Engineer license in North Carolina or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Minimum 5 years of experience leading teams to deliver planning and design for stormwater management.
• Minimum 5 years of client service and business development, including proposals and presentations.
• Strong written and verbal communication with clients and project teams.
• Experience leading permit applications and compliance reports.
• Experience developing design docs and bid packages.
• Experience supervising staff and mentoring project teams.
• Experience with engineering cost estimates.
• Knowledge of green infrastructure and nature-based solutions.
• Strong team-building skills.
• Familiarity with stormwater analysis tools listed: Hydra CAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, ArcGIS, Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Expand Carollo’s presence in the local stormwater market via targeted business development strategies.
• Collaborate with Stormwater Leads to develop and implement growth strategy.
• Develop a stormwater project delivery team in North Carolina.
• Manage planning and detailed design projects, including plan sets, specifications, analyses, and reports.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and staff supporting assignments.
• Some travel within North Carolina; travel outside NC for national efforts.
