Job summary

The City of Edmonds is seeking a Storm Water Maintenance Supervisor to lead and coordinate storm water upkeep, maintenance, and repair activities. Under general direction, you will schedule work, train staff, review performance, and ensure quality standards while acting as supervisor in the Manager's absence.

The role requires detailed records, adherence to safety, and coordination with the Street division within Public Works. This is a full-time, on-site position in Edmonds, WA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; coursework in storm water construction and maintenance.
• Five years of related public works maintenance experience, including three years of supervisory lead duties.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assign daily storm water maintenance activities; manage schedules and ensure tasks are completed.
• Meet with staff regularly to discuss priorities, workload, and technical issues and provide guidance.
• Inspect work to ensure quality, resource efficiency, and adherence to standards; participate in performance reviews.
• Provide coaching and training to staff and enforce safety regulations and city policies.
• Maintain storm water infrastructure records, perform routine maintenance planning, and track compliance with permits.
• Respond to emergencies city-wide and coordinate with contractors for small drainage projects.

Education

High School Diploma/GED with storm water coursework; five years related public works maintenance experience
