Job summary

Texas A&M University Vet Med-Teaching Hospital is seeking a Stores and Procurement Officer II to support Central Receiving. You will handle inbound shipments, verify documents, and coordinate delivery to hospital departments.

The role requires attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy hospital setting. The position also involves preparing outgoing shipments, maintaining records, and assisting with capital assets and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five years in stores and procurement work including material management, warehouse, logistics, purchasing, inventory or related.
• Ability to receive training in hazmat/dangerous goods shipping regulations.
• Valid driver?s license or ability to obtain within 30 days; forklift experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (OneDrive, Excel, Teams, Outlook, Word).
• Experience working with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Receive and distribute freight from various carriers and record items appropriately.
• Cross-check hospital purchases with purchase orders and paperwork for accuracy.
• Route packing lists to purchasing agents for invoicing reconciliation.
• Sort and deliver items to correct departments and obtain delivery signatures.
• Prepare outgoing shipments by USPS, courier, or other carriers and track shipments as needed.
• Maintain warehouse organization, inventory levels and records; assist with emergency evacuation duties.
