Job summary

CommuteAir LLC in New York state seeks a diligent Stores Clerk responsible for receiving, stocking, and issuing parts used by the aircraft maintenance department. The role reports to the Stores Supervisor or Stores Manager and requires careful handling of inventory and compliance with safety and shipping procedures.

You will process incoming and outgoing shipments, maintain shipping records, manage the tool room, assist with AOG sourcing, and perform regular stock checks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• Demonstrate a productive and positive attitude.
• Identify, handle and store hazardous materials per manufacturer guidelines.
• Complete FedEx HazMat Transportation Training per 49 CFR 172.704.
• Organized with ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
• Must read, write and understand English.
• Legally authorized to work in the USA.

Responsibilities

• Manage Champlain Enterprises LLC. tool room per manual.
• Coordinate restocks and ensure timely shipments.
• Perform pick-up and delivery of parts and supplies as directed.
• Conduct stock inventories and flag shortages.

Job description

What the position is: Stores Clerks are responsible for receiving, issuing, and stocking all materials utilized for the aircraft maintenance department. The Stores Clerk directly reports to the Stores Supervisor or Stores Manager

Essential Functions:

• Receive incoming parts and materials in a timely manner and in accordance with receiving procedures.
• Stock serviceable parts in a timely manner.
• Observe and comply with departmental procedures, Company policies, and Company safety programs.
• Process un-serviceable, rotatable/repairable components to ensure timely shipping/routing of parts to vendors and in-house shops for repair.
• Process outgoing parts/components and ensure they are properly prepared and packaged for shipment according to current departmental procedures and Federal regulations.
• Maintain accurate shipping records on outbound shipments to vendors, other airlines, and other Company facilities including COMAT shipments.
• Issue serviceable parts and tools to Maintenance personnel.
• Maintain control of Champlain Enterprises LLC. tool room in accordance with the General Maintenance Manual.
• Process out-station restocks and ensures shipments occur in a timely manner with proper packaging, shipping containers, and shipping documentation.
• Perform pick-up and delivery of parts, equipment, tools, and supplies to various locations as directed by the Materials Manager or Maintenance Shift Supervisor.
• Perform stock inventory on critical inventory items and other inventory checks as necessary and advising management of shortages.
• Perform all tasks involving housekeeping, Stock Room inspections, and bin location responsibilities on a routine basis.

• Assist in the coordination to acquire AOG items from approved vendors.
• Regular attendance is essential for all positions at CommuteAir.
• Other duties as assigned.

General requirements & qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Have a valid state issued driver's license.

• Demonstrate a productive and positive attitude.
• Ensure all hazardous materials are identified, handled and stored in accordance with the manufacturers' recommendations.
• Complete the FedEx HazMat Transportation Training course covering the shipping of Hazardous Materials in accordance with the requirements of 49 CFR 172.704.
• Organized with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities regularly
• Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language.
• Legally authorized to work in the USA.

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary Work:

Visual Acuity:
