Job summary

CommuteAir LLC Stores Clerk position responsible for receiving, stocking, and issuing parts for the aircraft maintenance department. Reports to Stores Supervisor or Stores Manager and supports timely shipping and inventory control.

Daily tasks include receiving parts, stocking serviceable items, processing unserviceable components, and ensuring proper packaging and shipping documentation in compliance with Federal regulations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming parts and materials in a timely manner.
• Stock serviceable parts in a timely manner.
• Observe and comply with departmental procedures and safety programs.
• Process un-serviceable components to ensure timely repair and routing.
• Prepare and package outgoing parts for shipment according to procedures and regulations.
• Maintain accurate shipping records for outbound shipments.
• Issue serviceable parts and tools to maintenance personnel.
• Control the tool room in accordance with the General Maintenance Manual.
• Perform stock inventory and assist with restocks as needed.
• Assist in acquiring AOG items from approved vendors.
• Attend to routine housekeeping and bin location responsibilities.

Job description

What the position is: Stores Clerks are responsible for receiving, issuing, and stocking all materials utilized for the aircraft maintenance department. The Stores Clerk directly reports to the Stores Supervisor or Stores Manager

Essential Functions:

• Receive incoming parts and materials in a timely manner and in accordance with receiving procedures.
• Stock serviceable parts in a timely manner.
• Observe and comply with departmental procedures, Company policies, and Company safety programs.
• Process un-serviceable, rotatable/repairable components to ensure timely shipping/routing of parts to vendors and in-house shops for repair.
• Process outgoing parts/components and ensure they are properly prepared and packaged for shipment according to current departmental procedures and Federal regulations.
• Maintain accurate shipping records on outbound shipments to vendors, other airlines, and other Company facilities including COMAT shipments.
• Issue serviceable parts and tools to Maintenance personnel.
• Maintain control of Champlain Enterprises LLC. tool room in accordance with the General Maintenance Manual.
• Process out-station restocks and ensures shipments occur in a timely manner with proper packaging, shipping containers, and shipping documentation.
• Perform pick-up and delivery of parts, equipment, tools, and supplies to various locations as directed by the Materials Manager or Maintenance Shift Supervisor.
• Perform stock inventory on critical inventory items and other inventory checks as necessary and advising management of shortages.
• Perform all tasks involving housekeeping, Stock Room inspections, and bin location responsibilities on a routine basis.

• Assist in the coordination to acquire AOG items from approved vendors.
• Regular attendance is essential for all positions at CommuteAir.
• Other duties as assigned.

General requirements & qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Have a valid state issued driver's license.

• Demonstrate a productive and positive attitude.
• Ensure all hazardous materials are identified, handled and stored in accordance with the manufacturers' recommendations.
• Complete the FedEx HazMat Transportation Training course covering the shipping of Hazardous Materials in accordance with the requirements of 49 CFR 172.704.
• Organized with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities regularly
• Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language.
• Legally authorized to work in the USA.

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary Work:

Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body, sedentary work involves sitting most of the time and walking /standing occasionally with or without accommodation.

Visual Acuity:

Includes inspection, close assembly, clerical administrative; This is a minimal standard for use with those whose work deals largely with preparing and analyzing data and figures, accounting, computer, extensive reading.

Inside environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
