Job summary

Carolina Foods LLC in Pineville, NC, seeks a Parts Room Supervisor to lead daily storeroom operations, ensuring timely receipt, storage and issuance of MRO parts for a high-volume bakery.

You will supervise clerks, maintain CMMS data, coordinate with maintenance and production, conduct cycle counts, and drive continuous improvements to reduce stockouts and costs while upholding safety and GMP standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least five years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience in a maintenance parts storeroom including receiving, inventory control, storage and parts issuance.
• Proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to coordinate work, coach employees, prioritize competing needs, and maintain accurate records.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Valid driver’s license for parts pickup and delivery duties.

Responsibilities

• Supervise receiving, inspection, storage, issuance, returns, and shipments; ensure accuracy and documentation.
• Develop inventory plans and determine stocking levels based on equipment needs and lead times.
• Maintain item master data, bin locations, and CMMS records.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Planner and departments to reserve, kit, label, and stage materials for work orders.
• Lead weekly cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate month-end reconciliation with Finance.
• Review critical spares and manage repair/return, surplus, and disposition activities.
• Initiate replenishment requests, track deliveries, and resolve shortages and invoice discrepancies.
• Improve vendor-managed inventory and new-stock setup while following purchasing policies.
