Job summary

The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is hiring a full-time Steward for South Dining Hall. You will join a fast-paced culinary team focused on maintaining an organized, safe, and efficient workspace and ensuring inventory accuracy for campus events.

As a Steward, you will support loadings, ordering, stocking, and storage operations, contributing to the success of hospitality services across campus dining facilities.

Qualifications

• Capable of managing time effectively with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time.
• Ability to move, lift and handle equipment, supplies and other objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Follow food safety procedures for handling, storing, and serving food products.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload trucks, put away equipment, and store foods and supplies.
• Pull products/equipment and pack for shipment to various events.
• Order, receive, and store food products, supplies, and equipment.
• Rotate stock according to dates received and maintain a safe, sanitary storage area.
• Checks products and equipment that is received and issued.
• Maintain Storeroom, Coolers, Freezers and Docks.
