The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is hiring for temporary Dish Crew Stewards in The Morris Inn within our campus Hospitality department. This entry-level role develops basic sanitation, organization, and support skills to keep kitchen operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen environment.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and organization.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and bend to clean drains and ladders.
• Highly dependable with a proactive attitude to assist the team.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the Champion Industries Model EUCCW8 dishwasher with proper procedures.
• Keep the dish area clean and organized during shifts and follow sanitation guidelines.
• Manually scrub and sanitize pots, pans, and kitchen tools.
• Sort and load dirty dishes into the machine efficiently.
• Unload and store clean dishes and ensure proper storage.
• Transport and restock clean dishes, glassware, and utensils to designated areas.
• Assist as needed with light prep, equipment setup for events, and FOH/BOH collaboration.
