Job summary

The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is hiring for temporary Dish Crew Stewards in The Morris Inn within our campus Hospitality department. This entry-level role develops basic sanitation, organization, and support skills to keep kitchen operations running smoothly.

Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and bend to clean drains and ladders.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain the Champion Industries Model EUCCW8 dishwasher with proper procedures.
Keep the dish area clean and organized during shifts and follow sanitation guidelines.
Manually scrub and sanitize pots, pans, and kitchen tools.
Sort and load dirty dishes into the machine efficiently.
Unload and store clean dishes and ensure proper storage.
Transport and restock clean dishes, glassware, and utensils to designated areas.
Assist as needed with light prep, equipment setup for events, and FOH/BOH collaboration.
