Job summary

Grand Lake Health System is seeking an entry-level Linen Distribution Assistant for full-time day shifts. You will receive, stock, and dispense linen, support annual inventories, and ensure quality from the distribution points across designated linen closets.

The role includes processing linen orders, completing accurate paperwork, and helping develop staff schedules while upholding infection control and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs overhead and handle repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

• Receive, stock, and dispense linen.
• Assist with annual textile inventory and linen distribution.
• Monitor quality of linen delivered to closets; remove damaged items.
• Process linen orders and complete paperwork to prevent errors.
• Assist in scheduling and maintain adherence to policies and infection control.
• Maintain confidentiality and participate in in-services or committees as needed.

Hours of JobFT- Day ShiftSome weekends and holidaysDuties and Key ResponsibilitiesThe daily receipt of linen inventories, stocking, and dispensing. Assists with annual textile inventory.Perform linen distribution process, as well as monitor quality of the linen being delivered to the designated linen closets. Responsible for removing damaged linen from inventory.Processes linen orders as appropriate.Accurately completes paperwork to eliminate errors in receiving and distribution. Assists in the development of schedules.Maintains established hospital and departmental policies, procedures, objectives, quality assessment, guest relations, infection control and a safe work environment.Maintains confidentiality of patient and departmental information.Maintains professional standards by participating in in-services, committees, etc.Performs other duties as assigned.RequirementsRequires full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity, eye hand coordination, standing and walking for extended periods.Periods of repetitive pulling and tugging of product to sort/distribute.Ability to repeatedly lift weights of 50# overhead to a height of 60”.
