Responsibilities

• Unloads clean linen from contracted services truck and transports to Linen Department where linens are inventoried and placed on carts.
• Pushes or pulls linen carts to appropriate patient care areas.
• Drives the hospital truck with clean linen deliveries and dirty linen pickups from external sites.
• Loads and unloads the washer and dryer used in the department and operates related equipment.
• Uses appropriate chemicals in the washer and maintains infection control standards.
• Rotates weekends and holidays as assigned; participates in meetings and projects.
• Orders linen to maintain inventory operational and functional.

Primary work will consist of unloading clean linen, loading dirty linen, some washing of linens, assembling linen carts, and delivering linen carts and supplies. Hospital supplied scrubs will be worn in this position for infection control standards.**Professional Experience*** Prior linen room experience preferred**Education*** High School Diploma/GED preferred**Licensure, Certification, Registration*** N/A **Physical Requirements**Heavy: Must be able to lift up to 20lbs on frequent basis to waist and shoulder height and lift up to 20lbs overhead on occasional basis. Will have to lift up to 100 lbs on rare basis for maneuvering heavy furniture. Will be able to push/pull up to 20 lbs of horizontal force on frequent basis, 40 lbs of horizontal force on occasional basis for over 100 feet and up to 50 lbs on rare basis.**Pay Rate Type**Hourly
