Job description

The Storeroom Attendant will support Plant Maintenance and Operations by maintaining the Storeroom inventory at designated levels. Responsibilities include ensuring accuracy through regular audits, organizing parts identification, receiving, storing, and stocking materials. The role also involves assisting with procurement, interacting with vendors and stakeholders to uphold inventory integrity.

  1. Maintain proper Storeroom inventory by assisting MRO Buyer in identifying materials for reordering or procurement, including Plant inventory and Vendor Managed Inventory.
  2. Conduct inventory audits, cycle counts, and perform root cause analysis on variances.
  3. Implement and follow Storeroom SOPs, issue Plant inventory to Work Orders in SAP.
  4. Collaborate with VMI contacts to ensure accuracy and prevent stockouts.
  5. Handle Storeroom receiving processes, verify deliveries against packing slips, and reject inaccuracies.
  6. Resolve issues with vendors regarding missing or incorrect documentation.
  7. Manage internal requests for parts, including shipping, repairs, and documentation; expedite as needed.
  8. Assist with invoice reconciliation, monitor open POs, and request quotes.
  9. Communicate with vendors for information, support month-end activities.
  10. Track inventory movements, generate usage reports, and recommend inventory adjustments.
  11. Ensure data accuracy in inventory systems.
  12. Perform physical handling of materials, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
What Are the Requirements?
  • Minimum 1 year of inventory/material handling experience; Storeroom experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Proficient in computer skills for inventory record management.
  • Ability to read packing slips and labels.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Physical ability to maintain storeroom cleanliness and organization.

Preferred qualifications include forklift certification and strong MRO and Excel skills.
