Job description

The Storeroom Attendant will support Plant Maintenance and Operations by maintaining inventory levels in the Storeroom. Responsibilities include auditing inventory, organizing parts, receiving and storing materials, and interacting with vendors and stakeholders to ensure inventory integrity.

  1. Maintain proper inventory levels by assisting with procurement and identifying materials to reorder.
  2. Conduct regular inventory audits, cycle counts, and root cause analysis of variances.
  3. Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and manage inventory issuance via SAP.
  4. Coordinate with VMI contacts to prevent stockouts.
  5. Handle receiving processes, verify deliveries, and document accurately in SAP.
  6. Resolve issues with vendors regarding deliveries and documentation.
  7. Manage internal requests, including shipping and repairs, with proper documentation.
  8. Assist with invoice reconciliation, monitor purchase orders, and solicit quotes.
  9. Communicate with vendors and support month-end activities.
  10. Track inventory movements, generate reports, and recommend adjustments.
  11. Maintain data accuracy within inventory systems.
  12. Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.
Is this job for you?
  • At least 1 year of inventory or material handling experience; storeroom experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Proficient in computer skills for inventory management.
  • Ability to read and prepare packing slips and labels.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and in a team.
  • Must be able to move efficiently in the storeroom.
  • Physically capable of handling inventory and maintaining cleanliness.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain it.
  • Strong MRO experience and advanced Excel skills.
