Job summary

General Mills’ Buffalo plant is seeking a Storeroom Attendant to operate the storeroom, issue parts, and maintain security and inventory accuracy. This role supports maintenance activities, requires basic computer skills, and a willingness to work rotating 8-hour shifts with weekend/holiday availability.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Issue parts to maintenance personnel on request.
• Maintain storeroom security.
• Issue parts in the Maximo system.
• Unpack, sort, arrange and place inventoried items.
• Tag items with proper GMI part numbers.
• Keep storeroom organized, clean, and safe.
• Identify slow moving, obsolete, and substandard inventory.
• Communicate inventory shortages to the Buyer or Storeroom Manager.
• Perform cycle counts and input data into the inventory system.
• Assist Receiving Clerk and Storeroom Manager as needed.

Clerk will make sure items are tagged with the proper GMI P/N.* Responsible for reorganization of the storeroom, and the bar coding of all items in the storeroom. Each clerk will be assigned a designated area of the storeroom to organize and maintain.* Keep storeroom organized, clean, and safe.* Aid in identification of slow moving, obsolete, and substandard inventory.* Track and communicate inventory shortage situations to the Buyer or Storeroom Manager.* Cycle count \"X\" amount of items and enter the data into the current inventory system. Investigate significant stock adjustments.* Inventory free-stock items, ex.
