Job summary

Ashley Furniture Industries is seeking a Retail Warehouse Associate to maintain inventory on the sales floor and collaborate closely with the Visual Merchandiser. You will oversee warehouse operations, including product setup, wrapping, storage for customer pick-up or delivery, and keep the backroom clean and organized.

The role requires ability to lift heavy items, work weekends/holidays, and communicate effectively with team members.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the US.
• At least 18 years old.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift and transport objects over 100 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Maintain reliable attendance.
• Thrive in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Unload and load products from semi-trailers regularly.
• Arrange showroom floor and set up incoming products, moving items from warehouse to floor.
• Remove sold items from the floor and prepare for delivery or pickup.
• Communicate with Visual team to prioritize floor plans and incoming merchandise.
• Handle clerical warehouse tasks, including documenting product receipt.
• Receive, distribute, and install parts for repairing floor samples as needed.
• Maintain the warehouse and backroom cleanliness and organization.
• Perform minor building maintenance and repairs as required.
• Complete and submit the weekly warehouse checklist.
• Work to reduce store operating expenses related to warehouse functions.
• Fulfill other duties and special projects as assigned.
