DICK'S Sporting Goods in San Diego is seeking a Visual Merchandiser to lead the execution of visual merchandising strategies, maintain daily store standards, and ensure displays reflect brand alignment and seasonal trends.

You will coach teammates, plan workloads, review top sellers and trends, and partner with store leadership to drive engagement, sales, and a cohesive athlete experience across departments.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Business Management, Retail Management, or Visual Merchandising.
• 3-5 years of experience in Visual Merchandising (preferably softlines).
• Understanding of customer and retail merchandising strategies.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with deadlines and work independently.
• Strong problem solving skills based on analytics.
• Ability to demonstrate conflict management skills and negotiate to resolution.
• Ability to adjust visual strategies based on store layout, inventory flow, and sales trends.
• Ability to influence and gain alignment across partners without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the execution of all visual merchandising strategies, updates, and gameplans with a high level of accuracy.
• Maintains daily store standards, ensuring mannequins, displays, forms, and strike points reflect curated styling and brand alignment.
• Makes adjustments based on sell-through, inventory, and store layout to create visually inspiring presentations that drive engagement and sales.
• Conducts regular store walkthroughs with leadership to assess visual priorities and align on execution expectations.
• Provides coaching and training to develop teammates' merchandising skills and support ownership in each area.
• Supports onboarding and development of teammates by teaching visual fundamentals and storytelling techniques.
• Reviews upcoming workload and seasonal changes to plan visual tasks effectively.
• Evaluates key business drivers and submits weekly recaps with recommendations.
