Job summary

Ashley Furniture stores are seeking a Store Visual Merchandiser to craft engaging displays, arrange interiors, and balance audio elements in line with leadership guidance. You will design merchandise presentation to enhance the guest shopping experience and drive sales.

The role requires 2+ years in retail visual merchandising, preferably in home furnishings, with ability to lift heavy items and work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the US.
• At least 18 years old.
• 2 years' experience in retail store visual merchandising, preferably in home furnishings.
• Regularly lift objects over 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to transport loads of 100 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Thrive in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement a visual merchandising strategy to support sales volume and financial objectives.
• Execute visually appealing store displays under Visual Leadership, coordinating layouts for furniture, lighting, and accessories.
• Remerchandise displays, signage, and POS to maximize product sell-through; conduct floor moves as needed.
• Complete store recovery processes and maintain interior/exterior appearance with warehouse/housekeeping support.
• Coordinate product tagging and showroom placement; participate in bi-annual inventory.
• Follow Visual Leadership standards; ensure audio/visual elements comply with communications standards.
• Develop knowledge of all company products and promotions; stay current with fashion styles and trends.
• Mentor staff on merchandising basics and involve them in visual maintenance.
• Coordinate with store manager on tasks, visual needs, and incoming products.
• Complete any additional tasks assigned by management.

The Store Visual Merchandiser role creates visually engaging store displays, interior layouts, and well-balanced audio elements. Working under the guidance of Visual Leadership, the visual will use their creative skills to design and present merchandise in a way that enhances the overall shopping experience for our guests. By implementing innovative merchandising strategies, the Visual team contributes to creating a memorable and enjoyable shopping experience that helps to attract and retain customers.

WhatYou’llDo

• Implement a visual merchandising strategy thathelpsachieve the Company's sales volume and financialobjectives.
• Execute visually appealing and well-balanced store merchandising displays under the direction of Visual Leadership, coordinate layout plans for furniture, lighting, and accessories, and transition seasonal products.
• Remerchandise displays, signage, point-of-sale, and select areas regularly to maximize productsell-through. Execute floor moves or any other necessary changes consistent with the layout plan and product focus; communicate regularly with Visual management on sold items.
• Complete thestore'srecovery processes throughout the day. Maintain store interior and exterior appearance with theassistanceof the warehouse and housekeeping associates.Initiate repair and maintenance of store lighting, fixtures, paint, flooring, etc., in conjunction with store management.
• Check-in and unpackage accessory merchandise and other product shipments in collaboration with the warehouse associate; coordinate product tagging, felt-dotting, and showroom placement;participatein the bi-annual inventory process.
• Adhere to all visual merchandising standards and bulletins provided by Visual Leadership. Ensure audio/visual items, such as store music, sign height, etc.,comply withthe communication standards to store associates and involve associates in the visual maintenance of the store.
• Develophigh levelsof knowledge on all Company products, promotions, and store functions; keep up to date on fashion styles and trends.
• Mentor store staff on merchandising basics. Involve the staff in the visual maintenance of the store and assist incommunicating with the Companies visual merchandising standards.
• Coordinate with the store managerregardingregular tasks & duties, visual needs, incoming products, point-of-sale materials, etc.
• Complete anyadditionaltasksassigned by management.

What You Bring
