Job summary

Trane Technologies in Charlottesville is seeking a Store Team Leader to manage a Trane Supply Store and warehouse. You will lead customer sales associates and warehouse staff, drive performance, and oversee inventory and showroom standards to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Two years supervisory experience in retail; proven sales and customer relations.
• Must be results driven, a strong team player and able to maintain high energy in challenging situations.
• Proficiency in an inventory management system or retail sales program; strong computer skills.
• Associate’s degree preferred or equivalent experience; GED/HS required.
• Candidates without a 4-year degree are encouraged to apply; prioritize practical leadership.
• Basic understanding of Lean Principles.
• Must have a valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Leads the team by fostering a customer-focused culture and builds relationships with key customers.
• Develops and coaches a diverse team to meet performance goals and business results.
• Develops and executes annual operating plans for the store; prepares forecasts and reports; conducts audits for financial compliance.
• Manages store operations to ensure productivity and quality; oversees inventory to support availability and reduce OSMI.
• Responsible for showroom appearance.
• Keeps up-to-date on market trends and products through self-education.
• Occasionally operates a forklift and lifts up to 50 lbs.
