Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Hart, Michigan, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development.

You will assist with daily store functions, help train and supervise associates, manage merchandise flow, and ensure a clean, safe environment in line with company policies. This is a full-time leadership role in a fast-paced retail setting with growth opportunities within the Dollar Tree network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and frequent walking, standing, bending.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive and approachable manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and processing damaged merchandise.
• Record keeping including payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Train and develop store associates.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure bathrooms and floors are clean.
• Adhere to policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
