Job summary

Goodwill of Silicon Valley in Gilroy, CA is hiring a full-time Store Supervisor. The role oversees cash register operations, customer assistance, and daily store management duties. You will support inventory, merchandising, pricing, and safety procedures to maintain a clean, organized retail floor.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, strong English skills, and 1–2 years of supervisory experience. Experience with NetSuite and RMH/RMS is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in the English language.
• 1–2 years of prior Lead or Supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in retail merchandising with a demonstrated track record of enhancing store sales is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide work direction to store personnel during shifts.
• Be accountable for store cash funds when opening/closing the store without management supervision.
• Provide customer assistance, oversee cash register operation, sales/monetary transactions, and opening/closing procedures.
• Maintain positive customer and employee morale; reporting any problems/complaints immediately to the Management Team.
• Assist with inventory, display, merchandising and placement of stock on the sales floor, stock rotation, markdowns, and marketing of merchandise.
• Knowledgeable and proficient in all production processes including pricing, sorting and donor greeting.
• In the absence of the Store Management Team, must be able to conduct productive Store Huddles during shifts.
• Assist with organizing/straightening up or arranging merchandise and housekeeping tasks to ensure a neat, clean and safe working environment in all areas located within the store property.
• Become familiar with and use proper handling techniques and equipment to ensure safe handling of merchandise and to ensure the safety of GWSV employees.
• Ensure all Store Policies and Store Operating Procedures are followed and utilized consistently by all store employees.
• Stay alert to possible damage, theft or potential safety hazards. Immediately report observations to the Store Management Team, Loss prevention and by notification sent to Corporate via email.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
